Disappointment for comedian Ali agan?
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 May 2022 7:32 AM GMTIs it going to be a case of sour grapes comedian Ali this time? Despite the reports that he would be given a Rajya Sabha seat, the hopes are dimming and the latest reports suggest that YS Jagan may not after all give him party ticket this time. Since Jagan himself had called Ali at Tirupati and told him that he would son be hearing a good news, everyone expected that he would be made a Rajya Sabha member.
But, it is now emerging that political calculations and the needs of real politic may make Ali to wait for some more time. There are a four Rajya Sabha vacancies and the YSRCP is likely to win all of them easily in view of its absolute domination in the AP assembly. Sources say that while Vijaya Sai Reddy is sure to get renominated to Rajya Sabha in view of his importance to the party, advocate Niranjan Reddy, who fights Jagan’s cases, too could be sent to the upper house.
This leaves just two vacancies. The names of former minister Dokka Manikya Varaprasad and Beeram Mastan Rao are being heard. Similarly, one seat is likely to go to the Kammas, who are not given any place in the ministry. As a result, Ali may have to wait for some more time. The "good news" could be some other post but not Rajya Sabha seat.
In fact, Ali left his long-time friend Pawan Kalyan and has joined YSRCP when Jagan promised to give him MLA ticket. However, he was asked to make way for others. Now, he has been denied the Rajya Sabha seat. Now, his wait is only getting longer.
