AICC chief Sonia Gandhi has issued an ultimatum to Group Of Ministers (GOM) who are looking after the recommendations in connection with thye division process.
"Divide AP first, Think about side-effects later," said Sonia to GOM, after giving political clearance to all the GOM's recommendations, except for the key issue 'Status of Hyderabad'.
Sonia expressed her anguish on the GOM when they constantly brought the Telangana issue to her notice for seeking clarification on complicated issues. At one stage stage, Sonia questioned the GOM 'Is Telangana the only problem in the country?'. As a result, GOM decided to fasten the divison process and think about the complications when they arrive.
The GOM meet on Tuesday focussed entirely on the Status Of Hyderabad. It is learnt that chances of making Hyderabad has been completely ruled out. GOM has come to this decision only to avoid the constuitution ammendment. Instead, GOM is considering the option to continue Hyderabad as common capital with few conditions and also focussed on ensuring safety to Seemandhra people in the capital.
It's official, GOM is making changes to its report based on the changes suggested by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.
