Prohibition on Liquor if I Win: Ex-CM

DMK Chief M Karunanidhi on Tuesday announced that prohibition on liquor will be implemented in the state if his party was voted to power in 2016 Assembly Elections.
Stating that even aged women and children are falling victims to liquor, Karunanidhi questioned why prohibition shouldn't be implemented again. He pledged to take measures for implementation of prohibition to ensure social change and betterment if DMK comes to power.
Strangely, It was Karunanidhi-led DMK Government which lifted prohibition of liquor in Tamil Nadu in 1971.
The statement of Karunanidhi gained prominence as parties like PMK ad MDMK have already been mounting pressure on ruling AIADMK to implement prohibition on liquor.
