Stalin raises doubts on Jayalalithaa's death
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 Dec 2016 11:57 AM GMTDMK Treasurer MK Stalin demanded Tamil Nadu Government to release a white paper on the medical treatment offered to former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa during her stay in Apollo Hospitals from September 22nd to December 5th this year. He states people have doubts on the kind of treatment offered to the EX-CM.
The Leader of the Opposition opined maintaining transparency would end the rumours surrounding Jayalalithaa's death. He made these comments while distributing relief material to the victims of Vardah Cyclone in Villivakkam, Thiru Vi Ka Nagar, Egmore and Harbour Constituencies.
Speaking to the media persons, Mr. Stalin told that demise of Jayalalithaa has affected the entire state. 'Our request to release details of treatment offered to Jayalalithaa was turned down and this led to circulation of rumors in the past few months. After her death, Several fresh rumors has surfaced. I request State Government to release a report on the treatment given to Jayalalithaa. No political agenda behind this!,' he told.
MK Stalin highlights Chennai Corporation is yet to clear the trees blocking the transportation in Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts even after 3 days since Vardah cyclone. He opines Rs 500 crore released by Tamil Nadu Government towards relief measure is insufficient.
