Do Transgenders Transmit Corona Virus?

Are hijras and transgenders responsible for the spread of Corona virus in Telanana? At least some miscreant seem to think so. They have written slogans all around Ameerpet metro railway station asking people not to tentertain hijras near their shops or have sex with them. The posters said that proximity to the hijras and transgenders could cause Corona virus and asked the people to dial 100 to alert the police in case they find a hijra.
This anti-Hijra graffiti has taken the locals by surprise. Some have even called up the police to inform about these slogans. Several organisations for Hijras have also taken up the issue and issued statements. Some had even lodged a complaint with the police. Hijra eader and activist Meera Sanghamitra has strongly denounced these wall-writings and demanded that the culprits be brought to book, He said that the slogans were trying to stigmatise the transgender community in the city.
The police said they are trying to identify the culprits using the CCTV footage in and around the Metro station in Ameerpet.
