Indrani Mukerjea who was lodged in Byculla Women's Jail since the past few years for killing her own daughter Sheena Bora was rushed to JJ Hospital on Friday after being found unconscious in her cell. Soon after regaining conscious at 7 pm on Saturday, She apologized to the doctors for consuming tablets.
A Jail Guard found Indrani murmuring in unconscious state and tried to wake her up. When there was no response from her, He alerted Jail Superintendent and in-house Jail Doctor. Then, The Accused was taken to the JJ Hospital. Jail Staff were on their toes ever since Indrani Mukerjea was hospitalized. Medical Tests confirmed Indrani fell unconscious due to drug overdose. Doctors cleared toxins from her body and the health condition improved since then.
This isn't the first time this Killer Lady was admitted to the hospital in similar condition. On October 2nd, 2015, Indrani spent few days in the Critical Care Unit after shifting from the jail in unconscious state. Then, Probe revealed there was 2,088 ng/ml of the drug and it's multiple times more than the safe limit.
