H-1B Visa extension by Default not anymore

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) made modifications to the 13-year-old policy to put the burden of showing proof in establishing eligibility on the petitioner at all times.
Earlier, The burden of proof used to on federal agency. In the new memorandum issued on October 23rd this year, Burden of proof remans on the petitioner alone.
As per previous policy, An individual who was found to be eligible for a work visa initially would also be considered for the extension of his/her visa. But now, The Person need to prove his/her eligibility to the federal authorities every time they seek an extension of visa.
The new policy is intended to protect American workers from discrimination in job offers. This will help crackdown of visa fraud in US.
