Trump's revised Travel Ban: Iraq spared!
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 March 2017 6:23 AM GMTDonald Trump signed on the revised Travel Ban. As per the latest Executive Order, Iraq has been exempted from the list of Nations banned. However, There is no change in the decision to impose travel ban on six other Nations (Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia).
The new executive order will come into effect on March 16th. Immigrants and Refugees from these six countries willn't be allowed to enter US for a period of 90 days from then onwards.
As many as 60,000 people whose visas were revoked based on previous executive order will be now allowed to enter US. Still, It doesn't mean Trump administration hasn't shown discrimination against the Muslims.
Legal Experts believe Trump has come up with a revised travel ban to get clearance from the courts citing it is affecting less number of people and it's a matter of national security.
