Don't watch Mersal if you don't like it!: HC

The Madras High Court on Friday dismissed a petition seeking ban on Vijay-starrer 'Mersal' for showing the schemes introduced by Centre in a poor light.
While rejecting the petition moved by a Chennai-based Advocate, The Bench stated, 'Can't ban Mersal. Everyone have the right to freedom of expression. It's just a film not real life. If you don't like the film, then don't watch it'.
'Mersal' which released on the eve of 'Diwali' this year grossed over Rs 170 crore Worldwide so far. The film directed by Atlee is still running to packed houses all over Tamil Nadu. It's already Vijay's biggest grosser ever and also highest grossing non-Rajini Film in Kollywood history.
Whereas, Telugu version 'Adirindi' is yet to receive clearance from the Censor Board inspite of removing the controversial dialogue on Goods & Services Tax. Producer Sharrath Marar has been doing everything he can to release the movie as early as possible.
