Don't make Telugus a laughing stock: Producer to Mohan Babu
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 Sep 2013 6:15 PM GMTMohan Babu's appeal to postpone the celebrations of 100 Years of Indian Cinema just 15 days before the event has been strongly criticized by the organisers.
Producer Katragadda Prasad found fault with Mohan Babu for releasing a statement to the press regarding the issue. "We have been working on the celebrations since 6 months. It's unfair to ask for a postponement just 15 days before the event. I request him not to make Telugus a laughing stock in front of other Film Industries. Even Vishnu and Lakshmi were playing key roles in the celebrations," he said.
Industry folks have been questioning why don't Mohan Babu ask his son Manoj to postpone the release of 'Potugadu' (September 13) when the people are in pain.
On the other hand, Tollywood biggies have decided to attend the 100 Years of Indian Cinema celebrations held in Chennai from September 21st to 24th. They, however, decided not to perform at the event in the wake of ongoing agitations in the state.
