A controversy erupted after Ravichandran Ashwin didn't thank India Limited Overs Skipper MS Dhoni, under who's leadership he played most, after bagging ICC Cricketer Of The Year & ICC Test Cricketer Of The Year awards.
Upon receiving the prestigious awards, Ashwin said: 'The journey thus far hasn't been a bed of roses, but if those thorns hadn't come In my way I wouldn't be half the person that I m today. I would like to take this day as an opportunity to thank @prithinarayanan @basu2013 @anilkumble1074 @imVkohli and my parents. There are so many more ppl I need to thank, @coach_rsridhar and our former bowling coach Bharath Arun.'
Following which, Netizens began trolling Ashwin accusing him of lacking gratitude and being arrogant. Some of them even began tagging the Spinner's Wife. Hence, Ashwin took to Twitter to appeal, ''One small request, please do not tag my wife in all your funny tweets.She has better things to look after, although I am crying over it'.
