Though no Monkeypox case has been filed in India so far, a five-year-old in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad is suspected of carrying the virus. To clear the doubt, her samples were collected and sent to the lab.
For a few days, the girl has been suffering from itching and there are rashes on her body. As Monkeypox is creating havoc in other countries, her samples were collected as a precautionary measure.
The concerned authorities said that, though there is no confirmation that the girl could have the virus, her samples were sent as they can't take any chances here. There are no other issues for the girl. As the symptoms were going on for days, the issue was taken to the notice of the authorities who decided to test her samples.
