L'affire Dr Anitha Rani is getting curiouser and curiouser. This doctor had tried to tarnish the image of the AP Government accusing it of insulting her in the name of her caste. These days, she is getting 'interesting' visitors. Several politicians belonging to the Opposition are said to be regularly visiting her home.
Also, she is refusing to cooperate with the CID. The other day, when the CID sleuths went to her home to collect her statement, she has not just refused to accept the notice, but also did not even open the doors. She told the DSP that she would only trust the CBI and would cooperate with them only. Meanwhile, her comments and statements are increasingly assuming political colour and her target clearly appears to be against the ruling YSRCP.
Meanwhile, the CID has collected the statements of the staff members of the Primary Health Centre in Penumuri, the owner of the house in which Dr Anitha is living and also her neighbours. The CID sources said that it was wrong on the part of the doctor to cast aspersions on the constitutional agencies.
