Dr. Reddy's Lab Launches 'Avigan' For Treatment Of COVID

India's leading pharma company Dr. Reddyâs Laboratories on Wednesday launched Avigan 200 mg Tablets in India for treatment of COVID patients.
The drug has been approved by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) for the treatment of patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 disease.
As per Dr. Reddy's, the drug will be supplied on a free home delivery service in 44 cities in the country. Some of the top pharma companies like including Lupin, Glenmark and Sun Pharma have already launched a generic version of favipiravir to treat COVID-19 in India.
The cost of one capsule is fixed at Rs 99 while Glenmark is offering it for Rs 75. Dr. Reddy's Avigan comes in a complete therapy pack of 122 tablets with a two-year shelf life.
