Dravid & Kumble Reject BJP's Offer

BJP seems to be desperate to win in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Polls. The plan to use the stardom of Upendra failed as the Actor was disinterested in associating with the National Party. And now, Saffron Party tried to lure legendary cricketers Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble who hails from Karnataka. The National Party believed clean image and popularity of the cricketers would help it garner the votes of Youth.
Few rounds of talks were held by BJP to convince the cricketers. While one of them was given an offer to contest on BJP ticket in the Assembly Polls, Assurance had been given that the other one would be accommodated at the centre (Rajya Sabha seat).
As per latest media reports, Neither Dravid nor Kumble accepted the offer given by BJP. They had firmly conveyed to the mediators that Politics isn't their cup of tea.
Currently, Dravid is working as Head Coach for India's Under-19 Men's Team. He was instrumental in the World Cup victory of the team. Kumble, on the other hand, had served as Head Coach of Team India in the past.
