Drugs Case:Excise Dir Gives Reason behind delay in Co-operation!

The 2017 drugs case which is dubbed the Tollywood Drug Case is a controversial subject that made many heads turn at the industry. Many noted celebrities were named as accused in the case which made the issue a much-talked-about topic. As another big development, the ED had stepped in.
The central agency has been alleging that the Telangana Excise Department is not cooperating with the investigation and filed a contempt of court petition. The court heard the petition and the state Excise director attended the hearing.
During the arguments, the Excise Director had alleged that there was a delay in sending the details to ED as he was busy with his department work and said that there is nothing more wrong with his side.
Saying that he issues an apology for this, he reportedly requested the High Court to cancel the contempt of court petition. After hearing the arguments of both sides, the High Court had adjourned the next hearing and said that the issue might be heard after the summer vacation.
The ED had stepped into the issue to see if there is any money laundering angle in the case. The agency had this doubt as the drug peddler who turned approver in the case alleged that they used to get drugs from Goa and other places.
