It is very common for political parties to accuse the previous government of wrongdoings and paint themselves as pro-poor ones. The parties also never fail to prove that they are better than the previous one. From the Central parties to state parties, the outfits follow the same.
We get to hear this more in Andhra Pradesh. The political enmity between YSRCP and TDP is such that, the ruling party always tries to prove that they are the best in implementing the welfare schemes. Showing the public mandate as an example the party says that people are not happy with the TDP.
From Chief Minister to MLA every legislator says the same. However, it backfires sometimes as people who are aware of what the grand old Telugu Desam Party has done for the poor give a counter reply. An MLA faced the same and ended up red-faced.
At a meeting, Avanthi Srinivas faced a shocking experience as a woman told him that the previous government cleared the zero-interest debt. He asked a woman if Chandrababu Naidu had written off the zero-interest debt as he announced earlier.
To his surprise, the woman said that yes the government cleared the doubt. The MLA said that the TDP government did not do that. A few officials told her that she should say no as her answer. The old lady then changed her response. The senior MLA even expressed his anger at the officials and asked how people were brought to the event without giving training on what they should say.
