Earthquake: PM Modi donates 1 Month Salary!
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 April 2015 4:00 PM GMTPrime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday donated his one month salary to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) towards offering financial assistance to the victims of the recent earthquake within the country.
Today, Discussion on devastation caused by Nepal Earthquake took place in Lok Sabha. The House offered to extend all possible support in this need of the hour. Proposal of donating one month salary of each member of the house towards relief for the victims has been discussed and consensus has been reached.
Government of India already announced Rs 2 lakh ex gratia from PMNRF to kin of those killed. People who were seriously injured will get Rs 50,000 each.
In addition, Kin of People killed in Earthquake will be receive Rs 4 lakh from National Disaster Relief Fund. So, Families of the deceased gets a total amount of Rs 6 lakh.
