AP & Telangana combinedly share Top Position

This Diwali is going to be very special for the people of Telugu States. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has jointly shared the No.1 Position in the ease of doing business, a feat which is very rare to happen.
As per the World Bank's Assessment of State Implementation of Business Reforms 2016, AP and Telangana were right at the top. Gujarat, on the other hand, has to settle with 3rd Position. Chhattisgarh & Madhya Pradesh occupy rest of the Top 5 Places. Haryana, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Uttarkhand and Maharashtra were placed between 6th to 10th Spots. Whereas, Odisha, Punjab, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal occupy 11th to 15th Positions.
Last year, Gujarat stood top in the ease of doing business among the Indian States. While AP grabbed 2nd Spot, Telangana settled with 13th Position.
In 2016, There is a vast improvement in the position of Telugu States. Thanks to the Investor-friendly policies of Chief Ministers!
However, India's Global rank in ease of doing business improved by only one spot to obtain 130th position out of 190 Nations.
