Yarlen or Luzalen, a former forest assistant, developed a liking for the penis of the bears and has been killing them for the last six years. Though put on the most-wanted list and despite arrests, Luzalen did not change his ways. He killed bears, tigers, leopards and even peacocks. He sold the skins of the prey to smugglers in Nepal and other places. The police have been on the lookout for him for the last six years. The police arrested him on MP Gujarat border. They found three fake Aadhar cards and fake voter IDs from him.
Animal reproductive organs are believed to have aphrodisiac abilities. Some body parts have medicinal properties such as curing cancer. Hence there is a great market for them internationally. These form part of the Chinese traditional medicines.
