EC Rejects Opposition Demand Ahead Of Counting
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 May 2019 11:28 AM GMTThe other day, 22 Opposition Parties met Election Commission to demand counting of all the VVPAT Slips in the Assembly Constituency if any discrepancy was identified while verifying five VVPATs per segment.
Today, Election Commission of India made it clear any such demands won't be entertained. The Poll Body informed that counting of votes will be happening only as per the directions given by the Supreme Court.
Election Commission guaranteed safety and security of all the Electronic Voting Machines. It ruled out any possibility of EVM Tampering to put an end to the speculations doing rounds.
Rahul Gandhi told Fake Exit Polls can't demoralise Congress and its Allies. He went on to say that hard work of the Congressmen won't go waste.
BJP, on the other hand, opined Opposition Parties have been behaving desperately after Exit Polls favoured NDA.
