EC To Announce The Lok Sabha Elections Schedule
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 March 2019 10:25 AM GMTThe official notification about the general elections is much likely to get released today evening at 5 PM. Though it is Sunday, the election commission has announced the press meet and it is evident that they are going to announce the notification today itself.
In fact, when compared to the 2014 elections, the notification got delayed for 5 days. In 2014, the election notification came out on March 5th but it is March 10th now but the official announcement is yet to be made. So, without wasting a single day, the election commission has decided to release the notification even though it is a public holiday. Including Lok Sabha elections, the Assembly elections of four states: Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh are going to take place. It is estimated that the elections will take place in 9 to 10 terms. AP and Telangana elections will be wrapped up in the first three schedules. The polling will be completed by the end of April.
In Telangana, as Assembly elections are already completed, only Lok Sabha elections will take place whereas both Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be conducted in Andhra Pradesh. All the political parties are getting ready for the elections and it has become very tough to guess who is going to win this time.
