Date Locked For By-Election in AP

Election Commission of India (ECI) Today announced the date for the biennial polls in Maharashtra and by-election in Andhra Pradesh. These Two Elections are going to happen on the same day (May 21st) from 8 am to 4 pm.
The term of as many as Six Legislative Council Members is gonna end on May 31st and June 21st. While the term of Anil Dattatrey Tatkare will be completed on May 31st, Term of Abdullah Khan, Mitesh Gotulal, Jadhav, Deshmukh Dileeprao and Pravin Ramchandraji Pote would expire on 21st of June.
By-election in AP was necessitated due to the demise of Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu who is from the Chittoor local authorities constituency. The TDP Senior Leader passed away on February 7th this year.
Election Notifications will be issued on April 26th. May 3rd is the Last Date for filing nominations. While scrutiny of nominations happen on May 4th, Last Date to withdraw nominations is May 7th. Elections will be completed by May 29th.
