ED attaches 153 acres land in Jagan case
By: Tupaki Desk | 9 Feb 2015 6:05 PM ISTIn fresh trouble for YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, the Enforcement Directorate on Monday attached 153 Acres property in connection with a money laundering case.ED temporarily attached 153 acres of land belonging industrialist I. Syam Prasad Reddy in the case of quid pro quo.
ED in its investigation revealed that I Syam Prasad Reddy has committed crime using his group companies--M/s Indu Techzone Pvt Ltd, M/s Indu Projects Ltd, M/s SPR Properties Pvt Ltd.The attached properties included 150 acres of land in Ranga Reddy district in Telangana of M/s Indu Techzone Pvt Ltd, 100 acres land belonging to SPR Properties and a residential property worth Rs. 3.11 crore of the Walden Group at Jeedimetla.
The report of ED said that YSR govt sanctioned over 250 acres land in Mamidipally SEZ violating the rules and in return of his Rs.70 crore investments in Jagans group companies. The ED probe had said that there was a 'quid pro quo' in this deal and hence illegal money exchanged hands.
Earlier the ED attached the properties pertaining to Jagati Publications, Indira Television and Janani Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, promoted and owned by Jagan.In march 2014, ED had attached assets worth Rs 863 crore belonging to Jaganmohan Reddy and his associates in connection.In December last year, ED attached properties worth over Rs 47 crore belonging to Jagan's three companies.
