By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Nov 2018 7:54 AM GMTEnforcement Directorate (ED) raided the residence and offices of former Union Minister Sujana Chowdary. Searches has been conducted at the Best & Crompton Company in Nagarjuna Hills, Hyderabad. There were allegations of looting crores using shell companies against the TDP MP. He seems to have set up shell companies projecting the employees in his companies as Directors.
Sujana Chowdary is facing allegations of diverting crores to Ganga Steel Enterprizes Pvt Ltd, Bhagya Nagar Investment & Trading Ltd, Tejaswini Engineering Pvt Ltd and Future Tech Industries Company. Though the TDP MP didn't procure any equipment or infrastructure, Crores have been diverted by just showing fake bills. CBI lodged an FIR against Sujana Chowdary in February 2016 itself.
ED had raided the firms owned by TDP MP in October last year as well. Several Hard Disks and Files were seized at that time. Sujana Chowdary misused the Rs 304 crore loan obtained from three banks (Andhra Bank - Rs 60 crore, Corporation Bank - Rs 120 crore, Central Bank - Rs 124 crore). Most of this fund was diverted to the Shell Companies. Investigation of this 3-Year-Old Case reached the final stage.
