ED Summons Nama Nageswara Rao to appear for questioning over bank fraud case!
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Jun 2021 11:13 AM GMTIt is known that the Enforcement Directorate(ED) sleuths have conducted raids at the residence and office of Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) MP Nama Nageswara Rao earlier last week over the alleged diversion of bank frauds.
Now the economic intelligence agency has sent a summons to the Khammam MP asking him to appear for questioning in connection with the case. The ED will question him on the 25th of this month.
The ED had also directed the Directors of Ranchi Express limited and Madhucon company to appear for questioning.
The searches at the residence and office of the MP were conducted in connection with a bank fraud case worth over Rs 1,000 crore. He is accused of diverting the loan amount to foreign companies.
Madhucon company owned by the MP got the Ranchi Jamshedpur highway contract and for the contract, the company received a bank loan of Rs 1100 crore. From the bank loan amount more than Rs 200 crore was diverted.
In connection with the case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case back in 2019 against Ranchi Expressway Limited and the company owned by the MP.
