Shocking: Eight Pandemic Patients Died As Fire Broke At ICU ward

The shocking incident took place at Shrey Hospital in the Navrangapura area of Ahmedabad at the ICU ward of the hospital that ich is designated to treat the pandemic patients.
Eight victims, five men and three women in the ICU ward on the fourth floor of the Shrey Hospital lost their lives due to this.
Following the incident, the hospital authorities shifted more than 40 patients to the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Sciences and Research as the firefighters and ambulances are working at the hospital.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the deaths of the deceased and prayed that the injured may recover very soon. He said that all the assistance will be provided to the affected.
Prime Minister's Office(PMO) announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh and Rs 50,000 for deceased family members and the injured respectively. The amount will be given from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF).
