The eldest daughter of Bill Gates and Melinda Gates couple, Jennifer Gates has reacted to her parents' parting ways, keeping an end to 27 years of marriage through social media.
Reacting to the separation of her parents, Jennifer Gates said she would not comment on their decision and asked for space. Our family was going through a challenging stretch of time, she said.
Hi Friends, "By now many of you have heard the news that my parents are separating," Jennifer Gates said in her Instagram story.
"I'm still learning how to best support my own process and emotions as well as family members at this time, and am grateful for the space to do so... Thank you for understanding our desire for privacy while we navigate the next phases of our lives," her story reads.
Jennifer Gates, the eldest daughter of Bill and Melinda Gates owns a human biology degree from Stanford University. In January last year, she got engaged to her beau Nayel Nassar.
After 27 years of marriage, Bill Gates and Melinda Gates announced parting ways through social media. In the post, the couple said, they had decided to end the marriage after a great deal of thought and work.
"After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage," the two said in a brief statement posted on Twitter. "We have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives," the couple said on social media.
