Election Code To Delay PRC further in Telangana
X
The government employees, who fervently hoped that the KCR government will announce the PRC and indicate the fitment soon after the MLC elections, were in for a rude shock. The poll schedule for the Nagarjunasagar bypolls was announced and the election code has now come into force. As a result, the PRC will now be stalled till the first week of May.

The Government will not take its own sweet time and will till the election results are out. Though the polling is on April 17, the result would be announced only on May 2 This means the election code would be in force till May 2. So, there is no chance of a PRC announcement till May 2. This only means that the proposed PRC and consequent pay rise will come into effect only after May 2. So, it will be a disappointment for the government employees.

The issue of PRC dominated the graduate MLC elections and there were fears that the government employees might vote against the TRS government. So, the KCR government used the employees unions to give inspired leaks to the effect that the PRC would be announced on March 19 soon after the MLC election results. Now that the new election has come into force,, the announcement will be deferred till the results of Nagarjunasagar elections are out.
