For Bathukamma Festival (October 9th to 17th), TRS Government planned to distribute as many as 95 lakh Sarees costing Rs 280 crore. Election Commission of India instructed Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar to stall the distribution of Bathukamma Sarees.
Election Commission is unlikely to permit distribution of Rythu Bandhu cheques in November 2018 if this is any indication. Rs 4000 per acre are supposed to be paid to the farmers of Telangana as the second installment. Will EC allow the implementation of TRS Flagship Scheme ahead of Assembly Polls?
