The political siren in two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana had started with the Election Commission of India releasing the election schedule for the by-elections for one each constituency in two states on Tuesday.

The recently announced election schedule says, the by-election in Badvel and Huzurabad constituencies in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively will be held on October 30 while the result would be out on November 2nd.

The gazette notification for the by-election will be issued on October 1st, and the last date to file the nominations was fixed October 8th. The commission in the notification said the nominations will be scrutinized on October 11th. The candidates can withdraw their nominations till the 16th of next month.

The election will commence on October 30th and the votes will be counted on November 2. The election result will be announced on November 2nd itself.

While the Huzurabad by-election was called by former MLA Etela Rajender in Telangana, the Badvel by-poll became inevitable after YSRCP’s Gunthoti Venkata Subbaiah passed away at a private hospital while taking treatment.
