EC Says No To AP TDP Ads That Help Telangana TDP

The Telugu Desam Party's plan for an advertisement blitzkrieg about its schemes on TV channels has hit the Election Commission road block. The TDP has been issuing several advertisements in various Telugu newschannels about various schemes such as Anna Canteens and Mukhyamantri Yuva Nestam. The plan is to borad cast these advertisements in both the Telugu states.
But with one of the Telugu states, Telangana, going to polls, a youth, identified as M Srinivasa Reddy, has lodged a complaint saying that these advertisements could influence the voters in Telangana as TDP is a contestant even in Telangana. He said that since the TDP is also contesting several seats in Telangana, these advertisements could offer it an additional political advantage. Responding to his complaints, the I and PR department in Telangana has sent notices to various Telugu channels asking them from stop airing these advertisements. The Yuva Nestam ads have been stopped on most channels.
Chandrababu is known to employ ingenious methods to popularize his party symbols. Before every elections, he uses surrogate advertisements to popularize the cycle symbol. The ads would be in the name of some agarbattis or other things, but the cycle ad would be painted on yellow background. This clearly helps register the party symbol and party's trademark colour among the people.
