EC permits TRS to hold plenary in Khammam

The Election Commission has given its approval for ruling TRS party to hold its plenary at Khammam on April 27 and imposed certain conditions.EC has imposed a code of conduct on the view of May 16 by-election to Palair assembly constituency.
But the party which was determined to hold plenary had applied for EC permission. Responding on the petition filed by TRS State Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal said the permission had been granted. EC imposed condition that all the expenses for plenary need to be taken care by party and no official machinery is used or involved in making any arrangements.
Congress party raised objections with EC as it felt the TRS might influence the voters. But EC didnât paid heed to congress request. As per the EC orders chief minister and ministers do not undertake official visits to attend the plenary event.TRS is holding the plenary to commemorate the 15th anniversary of its founding.
Meanwhile the ruling TRS has decided to nominate minister Tummala Nageswara Rao for the Palair Assembly constituency in Khammam district of Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister T. Nageswara Rao took the responsibility to turn the event big success and said the process to make arrangements for the plenary were in full swing.
