Elections are on in Maharashtra, but are Telangana police hyperactive?

The Telangana police forces, especially the Greyhounds are hyper active these days. They have intensified patrolling in the border areas adjoining Maharashtra and are conducting intensive combing operations. The intel set up is on a high alert mode.
Why should the Telangana cops be on a high alert at this time? There indeed is a strong reason. Panchayat Raj polls are being held in neighbouring Maharashtra. How does this concern AP police? The Naxals, who are very strong in Gadchiroli and Chandrapur districts, are out to disrupt the panchayat elections in these two districts. Hence the police of Maharashtra are undertaking intensive combing of the interiors of the two districts.
To escape from the Maharashtra police, key Naxal leaders and cadres might sneak into Telangana districts of undivided Adilabad and Khammam. As a result, the Telangana police are combing Godavari and Pranahita valleys. The greyhounds are actively monitoring the situation in Bhupalpally, Asifabad, Mulug and Mancherial areas. The police have reports that key Naxal leader B Damodar is trying to establish a shelter in Mulug district. Hence cordon and search operations are on in full swing.
