By: Tupaki Desk | 7 Sep 2018 6:10 AM GMTIn Today's meeting, Election Commission would decide whether or not to conduct Assembly Polls in Telangana must be conduct along with Four States Elections. A decision will be taken based on the availability of the resources to conduct Assembly Polls for Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Telangana by the end of 2018. Even Examinations, Festivals and Weather Conditions will be taken into consideration.
KCR could continue as Telangana CM until June 2019. He, however, preferred not to have Assembly and Lok Sabha Polls at the same time for political reasons.
If Assembly Polls were held in advance, Then it's like seeking mandate of Telanganites based on the development happened under TRS rule. KCR wants the focus of people on his achievements rather than on any other aspects during the Assembly Elections.
As KCR dissolved Assembly on September 6th, Elections must happen in Telangana with six months (before March 6th). In that way simultaneous Assembly and Lok Sabha Polls has been avoided.
