EMAAR Scam Prime Accused is YSRC Lok Sabha candidate

In 2011, CBI arrested Koneru Prasad in connection with Rs 250 crore Emaar properties scam. He was released on bail in 2012 after spending 9 months in jail. He is accused No.6 in YS Jagan illegal assets case.
It is learnt that Jagan himself appealed Koneru Prasad to enter politics by offering him Vijayawada ticket. Initially, YSR Congress planned to field Industrialist and Producer Prasad V Potluri (PVP) in this constituency, but due to difference of opinion with leadership he quit the party few months ago.
