End of Work From Home for Tesla Employees: Elon Musk
By: Tupaki Desk | 2 Jun 2022 8:58 AM GMTThe wealthiest man on the earth Elon Musk is not like any other person. He is focused on his work and nothing can stop him even the Covid pandemic. When the whole world was breaking its shell on how to deal with the crisis triggered by the pandemic, Elon Musk saw a rise in his wealth. The electric vehicles manufactured by his company Tesla were sold all over the world.
Another thing that sets him apart from others is that he is very particular about the work and he expects his employees to also follow the same. Going by his same instinct, Elon Musk sent an e-mail to his employees.
In the email that was sent to the employees, Elon Musk said that Work From Home cannot be allowed as he cannot accept remote work. However, Elon Musk said that employees who want to use the remote work option have to work from the office for at least 40 hours per week.
Having said that, Elon Musk said if the employees cannot do that they can look for other options. However, the Tesla chief Elon Musk said that the employees should be working from the main office and not the branch office of Tesla.
"Anyone who wishes to do remote work must be in the office for a minimum (and I mean *minimum*) of 40 hours per week or depart Tesla. This is less than we ask of factory workers. If there are particularly exceptional contributors for whom this is impossible, I will review and approve those exceptions directly," Elon Musk said in one of his emails.
"Everyone at Tesla is required to spend a minimum of 40 hours in the office per week. Moreover, the office must be where your actual colleagues are located, not some remote pseudo office. If you don't show up, we will assume you have resigned," Elon Musk said in his second email directed to his Tesla employees.
"Tesla has and will create and actually manufacture the most exciting and meaningful products of any company on Earth. This will not happen by phoning it in," Elon Musk added.
