After restricting the England team for 112 in the first innings, Indian bowlers have skittled the English team for 81 in the second innings. Heroics of Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin helped the hosts to dominate the England team.

Axar Patel, who played his first game on his home ground has claimed six wickets in the first innings. Patel claimed another fifer in the second innings and claimed 11 wickets in his second tests

Ace spinner Ravichandran Ashwin added one more record under his name. After trapping Jofra Archer, Ashwin became the fourth Indian bowler to join the club of bowlers to take 400 Test wickets.

Ashwin became the second-fastest bowler to achieve the milestone. Ashwin took 77 Tests to reach the milestone, while legendary Srilankan Muttiah Muralitharan took only 72 Tests for this.

England has also skittled India for 145 in the first innings thanks to the bowling prowess of Jack Leach and captain Joe Root. Joe Root claimed a fifer by picking the wickets of Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar, Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Jasprit Bumrah.

While England was bowled out for 112 in the first innings, England skittled India for 145. The hosts were skittled for 81 in the second innings, giving India a mere target of 49.
