Only A Limited Percentage Of The Indian Population To Get Vaccinated!
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 Dec 2020 10:03 AM GMTIndia is very close to getting its hands on the potential vaccine to cure the Coronavirus pandemic as the clinical trials of three vaccines have reached the final stage.
The vaccines developed by Ahmedabad based Zydus Biotech Park, Hyderabad based Bharat Biotech and Pune based Serum Institute of India have been said to reach the final stage.
On the other hand, the clinical trials of Covishield, Oxford University-AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine candidate are also being conducted in India giving hopes of the vaccine.
However, it is believed that the union government is planning to vaccinate only 20 percent of the Indian population in the first phase of the vaccination drive, once the vaccine doses are rolled out.
Based on the resurgence of confidence, the vaccination drive will be conducted for the remaining public. The vaccination drive is expected to be conducted in a phased manner.
As promised earlier, the frontline warriors, health workers, and the elderly people will be given first priority in the vaccination drive. People who want to take the vaccination should enroll themselves through the COVIN app.
The state governments will use the private hospital facilities in the respective states to vaccinate the groups which will be prioritized in giving vaccine doses in the vaccination drive.
