By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Jan 2019 1:14 PM GMTIn September last year, The Supreme Court removed the ban on Women in the menstrual age from entering Sabarimala temple. Since then, BJP, RSS and Hindu Organizations have been protesting against the judgement citing it hurts the sentiments of the Devotees.
Recently, Two Women identified as Bindu and Kanaka Durga who are in their early 40s had the darshan of Lord Ayyappa in Sabarimala. Tension prevailed in Sabarimala after this news spread like a wildfire.
And now, Kerala Police confirmed that as many as 8 Women had the darshan of Lord Ayyappa since the judgement delivered by the Supreme Court. Whereas, Sabarimala Karma Samiti alleges it's a ploy of Kerala Government to bring more Women Devotees to the hill shrine.
After the darshan of Two Women Devotees, A purification ritual was conducted in the Sabarimala Temple. Travancore Temple Working Board sought explanation from the Head Priest over Samprokshan carried out by him for one-and-a-half hour. Purification post the entry of Women Devotees comes under the contempt of the court.
