TRS Candidate In Trouble For Bribing Voters

Enugu Ravinder Reddy, TRS MLA Candidate from Yellareddy Constituency in Nizamabad District, landed in trouble for allegedly bribing the voters. A police complaint was lodged against Ravinder Reddy by Yellareddy Tehsildar as per the instructions of Nizamabad Collector upon receiving orders from the Election Commission.
In the viral video, Ravinder Reddy was found negotiating with Women Supporters so as to vote for TRS by promising to pay Rs 5 lakh in return. The deal was to organize a meeting with 50 Women's Self-Help Groups and make them pledge to vote for the Ruling Party. One of the Women questioned how could Rs 5 lakh be enough to mobilize such a huge number of people.
Model Code of Conduct is in force in Telangana since September 6th. Any attempts to influence the voters using money is strictly unacceptable.
