Etela mellows down on farm laws
By: Tupaki Desk | 9 Feb 2021 7:51 AM GMTEver since KCR made the unequivocal comment on change of guard in the state, the TRS ministers have become very mellowed. No one is commenting on politics from Sunday. Even minister Etela Rajender, who made some strong comments against the State and the Central governments over the farm issues, too has become mellowed down.
On Monday, he has inaugurated a Rythu Vedika in Manthani. Speaking on the occasion, he focused only on what KCR is doing for the farmers. He also sought to highlight Kaleshwaram project. He did not even touch the farm laws put in place by the Central Government. He merely said that the Governments have a responsibility towards farmers. He did not speak about the MSP and other issues. Prior to the TRS meeting where KCR slammed his party colleagues, Etela has come out openly in opposition against the farm laws and criticised the BJP. But this time around, he looked quite mellowed.
This is being seen as a significant pointer to the changed mood in the TRS. Now that the issue of KTR's anointment as the CM has been sorted out, people like Etela, who were facing threat of losing the ministry if KTR became the CM, are heaving a sigh of relief.
