By: Tupaki Desk | 29 Jun 2020 10:06 AM GMTA Covid-19 patient at Government Chest Hospital in Hyderabad died after the doctors refused to put him on ventilator support recently. A few moments before his demise, the 35-year-old V Ravikumar recorded a video and send it to his father alleging that doctors did not provide him with a ventilator even after he complained of breathing problem
In the video, we can see him saying, "I have been pleading with them to put me on a ventilator for the last three hours. I am struggling to breathe and feel like my heart has stopped. They are not listening to me. They are not putting me on a ventilator. Bye, daddy. Bye all, bye daddy," he said.
This video went viral across the internet and netizens fumed over hospital staff for their negligence which took life a person. When this incident is raised at Today's press meet held by Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajender, the minister gave irresponsible answer over his death blaming the victim.
"We are allowing Covid-19 patients to use mobile phones and the Internet as there are away from their families, and they can’t stay with them. But, they are misusing the facility," said Etela Rajender.
