Etela to resign as MLA on Friday, to join BJP on June 8

It's now almost official. Etela Rajender is all set to resign from his MLA post on June 4 and is set to join the BjP on either June 8 or 9. Etela, who has since returned from Delhi after meeting BjP chief JP Nadda, is preparing to address a media conference on Friday. What is important is that some five to six key TRS leaders are also preparing to leave the TRS and join the BjP along with Etela.
Etela has reportedly held detailed discussions with the national level BJP leaders at various stages and seems to have finalised his future course of action. Among the leaders he had met are BL Santosh, the organising secretary of the party. He was in Delhi for the past four days. Etela, who has been sacked from the ministry, has been preparing ground to rebel against the TRS boss. He has held discussions with several leaders in Telangana, including former MP konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Revanth Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy. Leaders like Prof Kodanda Ram and Cherukuri Sudhakar too have met him. After lot of deliberations, he has decided to join the BJP.
Sources said Etela is also planning to contest from Huzurabad for the bye-elections. He wants to prove his strength to the TRS and show that he is an alternative to the TRS leadership. Earlier, there was a proposal to make his wife Jamuna Reddy contest the elections.
