What should be the ideal distance to beat Covid 19 virus? Till now, the experts were suggesting six feet distance. They argued that the Saliva droplets from talking or from sneezing would not travel beyond this distance.

But a latest study on the pandemic showed that even six feet distance would be useless in case of mild winds. The winds help the saliva droplets travel longer and reach beyond the agreed six feet. The study, conducted by the scientists of the Cyprus University in Nicosia says that even mild breeze of four kmph speed can help the saliva droplets go as far as 18 feet in just five seconds. Short men and children are more prone as falling saliva droplets might find them on way and deposit the virus on their person. So, the ideal distance in a mild breeze should be at least 12 to 15 feet, the study says.

The scientists used computer simulation techniques to calculate the distance the goblets travel. They also found that smaller saliva droplets travel longer as against the larger onces. They estimated the complex process of the infection using several models and wind speed variables.
