Even Divya Vani can dictate terms to TDP bosses
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Jun 2022 4:47 AM GMTDespite the claims of the Mahanadu success, the nervousness in the TDP is showing. The way the party reacted with such alacrity to douse the dissidence of a non-entity like actress-politician Divya Vani showed that the party is lacking in confidence. The party leadership not only spoke with her, but also heard her litany of complaints.
Divya Vani, a TDP spokesperson, was upset that she was denied a chance to speak at the recent Mahanadu. She expressed her ire in a YouTube interview. Soon, the rumour mill went abuzz saying that she was all set to leave the party and that she got a phone call from KA Paul. Some even went to the extent of saying that she was set to join the YSRCP.
Meanwhile, a letter, purported to have been issued by the party's disciplinary committee, went viral on social media. The letter claimed she was suspended from the party. An angry Divya Vani reacted wildly and sent her resignation through Twitter. It was then that the party leadership went into an overdrive.
The party disciplinary committee chief Bachu Arjunudu said the letter was fake and asked her to take back her resignation. Soon several top leaders called her and cajoled her. The party sources say that she has now got an appointment with both Lokesh and Chandrababu Naidu. This shows that the TDP does not want any damage to its reputation and is working overtime to ensure that even insignificant leaders do not leave the party.
