Every Seventh doctor in the US is an Indian and they are at the frontlines, working as soldiers and fighting the virus, said Dr Suresh Reddy, President of an Indian-origin US physicians organisation.
He said the fight against the deadly virus is a long one and it could last for 1-2 years until a vaccine is developed for it.
Suresh Reddy said that lockdown should be lifted in a very careful manner or else the virus will come back and the damage will be even worse.
The entire medical fraternity has become the Army right now, fighting the coronavirus, said the Doctor.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 cases in America have reached 1.01 Million and 56,521 have died of the virus.
