It's official now!! Ex-MP from Munugode to join BJP on October 19
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Oct 2022 4:37 AM GMTNow it is official. Former MP Boora Narsaiah Goud, who has resigned from the TRS, the party with which he was associated from its inception, is all set to join the BJP on October 19. He would join the party in the presence of the BJP's national leadership in New Delhi. On the same day, he would also formally join the party in Munugode at a public meeting organised by the BJP.
He had already met BJP national president JP Nadda in New Delhi. After October 19, he would actively campaign for the BJP in Munugode assembly constituency, where he has considerable influence. He is likely to join the campaign along with BJP Telangana chief Bandi Sanjay and party candidate for Munugode Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy.
Narsaiah Goud's resignation from the party is surely a huge loss to the TRS. Goud has been active during the Telangana agitation in forming a powerful Doctors' JAC. He has wide connections in the region and has considerable support among the BCs. Munugode has over one lakh BC votes, including 40000 Goud community, to which Narsaiah Goud too belongs.
The BJP had planned the whole operation in such secrecy that even the intel department could not get wind of it. Goud was present at the filing of the nomination paper by party's official candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy. But, by evening, he landed in Delhi and surprised everyone by announcing his resignation from the party in protest at not being given the party ticket.
