The Court granted bail to the expelled AIADMK leader after she served a jail notice for four years in a prison in Bengaluru. However, she will not be sent to Tamil Nadu immediately.

It is known that she was recently tested positive for the Coronavirus and developed other symptoms, following which she was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Due to this, she will undergo treatment at the hospital for the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. After the treatment, she is expected to get released from the hospital. The Karnataka cops will provide security for her till she undergoes treatment at the hospital.

According to the information, VK Sasikala will undergo treatment for four to five days at the Victoria Hospital. After the treatment, the hospital authorities will take a call on her discharge.

The jail authorities in the Parappana Agrahara area of Bengaluru have completed the process of shifting her to the hospital from prison. During the process, the authorities wore PPE Kits.

Her release from the prison came months ahead of the much-awaited 2021 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections. Her release is expected to make the polls more interesting.

The expelled AIADMK leader was sentenced to four years in prison back in 2017 in connection with the disproportionate assets worth Rs 66 crore. Former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa was the prime accused in the much-talked-about case.
