AP Government Takes A Crucial Call On Liquor Of Other States

The Andhra Pradesh government is eyeing to challenge the High Court's verdict which permits the public in the state to bring three bottles with them from other states, as per sources.
It has been widely reported that the Andhra Pradesh Excise Department has written to the state government in this regard. In the latter, the Department opined that illegal liquor might enter the state with the provision.
However, there is no official information on this. We will get more information once the Andhra Pradesh or the Excise Department issues any official statement in this regard.
Recently, the Andhra Pradesh High Court ruled out saying that, according to the GO No 411, people can bring three bottles with them from other states and directed the state government to allow people to do so.
